I grew up working in my family’s restaurant, Maharaja’s, for over six years, where I learned such critical aspects of running a business from scratch. Year after year, I developed skills in customer-focused operations, financial management, and business expansion, helping grow to three locations. Those experiences built my foundation in what drives long-term success — a strong product, loyal customers, and disciplined operations.
Building on that experience, I founded Curry Up Now, a three-month pop-up food truck bringing authentic Indian cuisine to modern audiences. With my dad’s guidance and support from his chefs, I led branding, logistics, staffing, and partnerships, executing 20 high-traffic events with Paddy’s Markets and endorsements from MasterChef Australia finalists. The venture generated $100K+ in revenue and $30K in profit, showcasing the impact of creative partnerships in growing visibility and expanding our restaurant’s customer base.
